3 Indian men held with stolen silver ornaments

MAHOTTARI:  Three Indian men have been arrested in possession of stolen silver ornaments on Tuesday.

A police team deployed from the Samasi-based Armed Police Force (APF) border out post nabbed the trio from Nepal-India border near Mahottari district.
The arrestees have been identified as Ajay Kumar Sah, 21, of Andauli Bisanpur-2, Sitamadi district, Bikki Kumar Sah, 22, of Bishwa-3, Sitamadi district and Raju Sah, 28, of Delhi.

According to Samasi-based Armed Police Force (APF) border out post, Inspector Bidur Dhakal, the trio was arrested while they were entering Nepal on a bike (Ja 6 Pa 4214).

Police said that they have confiscated 357 gram old silver ornaments, Rs 32,400 in cash and IRs 21,370 in cash from their possession.

Inspector Dhakal said that preparations are underway to hand over confiscated ornaments and cash to the Malibara-based Customs Office.
