'Parties have signed deal assuring PM to Forum'
The parliamentary leader of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) Bijaya Kumar Gachhedar has created a ripple in the Nepali politics once again today stating that the Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN-UML have signed a deal to provide his party with the premiership.
"While signing the 4-point agreement for the presidential post the Nepali Congress and CPN-UML had verbally agreed to give MJF the leadership of the next government," Gachhedar said, adding, MJF, thus, should be allowed to lead the next government if CPN (Maoist) opts to stay away from it.
He at the same time warned of serious consequences if the agreement is violated.
The views of the MJF leader has come at the time when the CPN (Maoist) has decided they would now stay away from the process of forming new government.
When asked who would become the prime minister if MJF ends up leading the government, Gachhedar said, "We haven't decided on the person yet but if NC and UML abide by their agreement then we would immediately select an able candidate for the post of prime minister.
It is noted that earlier the parties said the trio had 3-point agreement to provide President to NC, Vice-president to MJF and chairman of the Constituent Assembly to UML.
