NPC to meet Kyrgiz in AFC Prez Cup semis
Nepal Police Club will meet Dordoi dynamo of Kyrgyzstan in the first semifinal of the AFC Presidents Cup to be played in Biskek, Kyrgyzstan, on September 19.
Nepal Police Club, previously known as Mahendra Police Club set up semis tie with Dordoi, a repeat of the 2007 final, which the cop team lost after going down 2-1 to Dordoi in Pakistan.
Semifinal-2 will see inaugural AFC President's Cup champions Regar-TadAZ take on Ashgabat, who became the first team from Turkmenistan to reach the last four of the tournament after edging qualifying Group C ahead of group hosts and 2007 semi-finalists Ratnam of Sri Lanka and Myanmar's Kanbawza.
Both semi-finals will be played on September 19 at the Spartak Stadium in Bishkek, home of Dordoi Dynamo, with the final taking place at the same venue two days later.
