The Indian union rail minister Lalu Prasad said today that his Nepal visit was disrupted by his own Prime Minister Man Mohan Singh.
Lalu who has come to Lokahi to inspect the flood hit Sunsari district revealed the fact about his two times postponed and then cancelled Nepal visit programme.
"I was not able to conduct Nepal visit as our Prime Minister obstructed that," Lalu who is also a former chief minister of the state of Bihar told journalists, adding "Once the Nepali Prime Minister paid a courtesy visit to India we will send our government's representative here".
He said that the catastrophe hit Bihar due to failure of the state government to alert central government before the breach of spurs. He even criticized Nitish Kumar, chief minister of the state.
Since the flood affected millions of people from both Nepal and India, works should be done with cooperation from the both countries for relief, Lalu concluded.
Lalu is expected to visit Nepal on Thursday but his trip was cancelled later on request of the foreign ministry and Indian envoy to Kathmandu.
