Newly elected president Dr. Ram Baran Yadav took the oath of office and secrecy on Wednesday afternoon amidst the great function.
Chief Justice Kedar Prasad Giri administered the oath at 4 pm at the premise of Shital Niwas, the office and residence of the president.
Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala, Ministers, dignitaries and high ranking government official were also present during swear in ceremony.
President Dr Yadav assumed office shortly after the swearing-in ceremony.
Likewise, President Dr. Yadav administered the oath of office and secrecy to Vice President Parmananda Jha at Shital Niwas Wednesday afternoon.
Briefly talking to journalists at his office, President Yadav said he would dedicate himself to institutionalization of republic, timely drafting of new constitution and maintain peace and communal harmony.
