The Maoist party is learnt to field its central committee leader and Minister for Local Development Dev Prasad Gurung for CA chair election which is scheduled to be held on Thursday.
According to news sources, Maoist candidate Gurung will compete against UML candidate and former speaker Subas Nemang, a common candidate who is believed to muster collective votes from the alliance of NC, UML and MJF.
However final decision to this effect is yet to come while the party secretarial meeting is going on.
“His candidacy for CA chair from the party is being raised at meeting but conclusion has not been made yet”, one of the secretarial member said.
However the alliance comprising of Forum, UML and NC which became succeeded to pick up first president and vice president on their own after reaching the new consensus would back Nemag with majority votes.
