You start naming a few promising models of the Nepali music videos, one name perhaps tops the list. Namrata Shrestha not just is drop-dead gorgeous, she equally has a charismatic personality. Remember the music video of Pramod Upadhyaya's Aankhama Lukauki. It was Namrata's first project after passing out the secondary level of education. Originally from Dharan, this sizzling lady has almost three dozen music videos to her credit. To name a few, Timro Naam Timi Bina, Dilko Kura Nagara Dil Maya, and Jaba Hunchhu Ma Saathi are some of her popular music videos. Namrata is soon to complete her graduation in Mass Communication from College of Journalism and Mass Communication (CJMC). Having modeled in as many music videos and commercials, Namrata is now the lead actor in Alok Nembang's Sano Sansar. She is also acting for Sudarshan Thapa's Mero Euta Saathi Chha, a feature film.

If you were one word, what would it be?
Elegant because that is what I think I am.
The one thing you love about yourself…
I don't keep things within myself. Meaning, I'm straight forward.
A flower you would associate yourself with…
It would be tulip because rose is too clichéd.
The place you would die to be in always…
My bed, indeed. These days, I hardly get time to have some good sleep.
Favorite one-liner…
No, thanks!
What attracts you in a man?
The way he presents himself and his voice. If he doesn't sound good, it turns me off.
Sexuality or sensuality…
Sensuality for sexuality is more about a physical intact and sensuality is beyond that.
Love of your life…
It's a secret. I'm still thinking about it.
One such habit of yours that many don't know about…
Many think I escape household activities. But, I'm fond of cooking and I think I'm good at it.
If you were a song, you'd be...
Alians Morissette's Hand in My Pocket. The lyrics say I'm Sad but I'm Happy and I associate that with myself a many times.
The color of your life…
Blue. It's cool, tranquil and sexy.
Angelina Jolie or Jessica Alba…
Angelina Jolie. She's not just pretty, but the way she presents herself as a social worker is inspirational.
Johnny Depp or Orlando Bloom...
I'm a big fan of Depp. His acting skills are beyond explanation and he can fit himself into any characters well.
Vinay Shrestha or Mahesh Shakya...
I knew this question would be here. See, Vinay is Dai (brother) and Mahesh is a buddy. So, how can I pick one!
Raymon Shrestha or Dipak Raj Giri...
Raymon for he has a very good voice. And Dipak Dai is a good comedy actor first.
Ashish Syangden or Prashan Syangden…
Prashan. He can adjust himself into every show. He is more diplomatic and can handle all situations. Ashish is straight forward.
As a good director—Alok Nembang or Simos Sunuwar…
You're going to put me into trouble now. Simos Dai is good at completing videos too fast. At times, he says, okay let's finish the whole thing in an hour. On the contrary, Alok Dai comes up with a theme- based story and is more indulged in his work. Working with both is fun.
An actor, a model, RJ and an independent woman. Put them according to your priorities…
I'm first an independent woman, then a model, RJ and an actor now. Can't I have this together?
If you were to go on a honeymoon abroad, places you'd visit...
Why go to honeymoon abroad when we have such beautiful places in Nepal? Even though, if the question I have to, I'd prefer to be at somewhere near seas. Apart from making it a clichéd honeymoon, I'd prefer trekking and adventurous activities.
A working woman or a housewife...
Being a housewife is also a fulltime job. But, for me I need to experience both. I want to be a working lady who takes care of her home equally.
What if your husband says NO to work outside home…
First, I will never choose such guy for me. And, if I'm mistaken I'll ask him to get out of my life.
Five things about Nepali women that fascinate you...
They're innocent, pretty, naturally beautiful, broadminded (lol! which they're not and sincere towards their family).
You pray for...
For now, every morning when I open my eyes I just wish that my movie becomes a hit and people accept me as an actor.
You see “New Nepal” as…
New Nepal! I don't see anything as such. It's pretty disoriented. I just hope we can at least make Nepal what it used to be like rather go and find something new about it.
One fine morning, you wake up and find that you're in a deserted island. Now you would...
I will try to cope up with my new surrounding and will try to find some food. Panicking would do nothing.
If you were the fashion police, five things you would ban…
In Nepal, people don't bother much about what suits them and what not. They just blindly follow whatever is in fashion. So, there aren't things that could be banned.
Ahh…You get put off by…
By people who use too much of body odor and the way people speak crap.
A food that makes you go nuts…
Pineapple pizza. Yummy!
A TV program you can watch without needing to have the remote by your side…
Reality Zone on AXN.
All that matters to women are...
Trust, success and love.
Men always look for…
Women, success and money.
Do you believe in the idea of soul mate…
Yes, I do because when it has to happen, it happens. And, you will have no time to think why did it happen.
Your naughtiest prank…
While in college we were playing the game “truth and dare.” During my turn I had to spank my teacher. So, what I did was I called him and pretended to talk. Soon, I spanked him on his head. Furiously, he asked me the reason. And, I said there were some chalk powder on his hair and I was trying to remove them.

Johnny Depp.
You are a diehard fan of…
Pearl Jam. His recent songs are fabulous.
When you get angry, you…
I blush and then I start talking to everyone around me.
You love getting dressed in…
Casuals, indeed! It's so easy carrying them out.
One film you would like to watch again and again…
I mostly love watching horror movies. And, once I watch I don't like repeating. After all, it's a horror movie.
Where do you see yourself ten years down the line…
A media person. May be not acting but as a media woman behind the curtain. About marriage, I still doubt, if it would happen in ten years time!
