Two largest environmental organizations in the world-- World Wildlife Fund (WWF) and The World Conservation Union (IUCN)-- in support with Nokia have launched a new green on-line connect2earth.org for young people to say their views on environment to the world.
A statement issued by WWF on Friday said, the new online will encourage young people aged between 13 to 35 to have their say on the issues related with environment by uploading videos, pictures and comments.
The site, www.connect2earth.org, will also allow people to rank other entries, discuss the issues that matter most to them, and share smart ideas and solutions from their own communities about issues concerned with environment, it stated.
Meantime, each month, users will vote on a winner who will be rewarded with a Nokia mobile phone.
Similarly, the overall winner, selected by a panel of prominent conservationists, will get the chance to participate in the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Barcelona this October and present ideas directly to political, environmental and business leaders from around the world, the statement read.
