Nepal's left-arm fast-baller Mahaboob Alam took all 10 wickets against Mozambique in an amazing solo display in a World Cricket League Division Five match in Guernsey on Sunday thus creating a new world record taking 10 wickets in One Day International Cricket.
Nepalese Cricket Team also set a record for restricting any opponent in less than 20 runs.
Mozambique were all out in just 19 runs after Alam fired his cylinders in English Island.
Earlier, chasing the Nepalese total of 238 for seven, Mozambique were all out for just 19. Nine batsmen perished without troubling the scorers - five bowled, four trapped leg before wicket and one caught by Mahesh Chhetri.
Alam was on a hat-trick three times in the course of his 7.5 overs and finished off the innings with four wickets in six balls as Nepal crushed Mozambique by 219 runs.
"I never thought I would get 10 wickets. I managed to get the ball to swing for me and then I thought I was in with a chance of getting wickets," said 26-year-old Alam.
"Once I got my eighth wicket, I thought I could get all 10 in the match. I did think the bowler at the end may get one or two wickets as he was getting the ball to skid on but fortunately for me he couldn't get a wicket. I am very happy.
Nepal will now play against Norway, USA and Vanuatu in other matches. The winner of the Division V will go to Division IV en route to the selection for 2011 World Cup Cricket Tournament.
Earlier on Friday, Nepal had thrashed Germany by 7 wickets.
