Three succumbed to Diarrhea in Bajura

Nepalmountainnews Report | 15 May 2008

Diarrhea has taken a serious toll in Sapata VDC in Bajura district following its outbreak two weeks ago.

Three people have died so far and more than a dozen villagers are in a critical state due to the deadly outbreak even as locals fear that it may spread to adjoining villages if nothing is done about it.

Reports said Rama Rupa Mahattara, 45, Prajit Bhandari, 50, and Suna BK, 35, of Sapatta VDC died due to diarrhea last week.

However, officers at District Health Office (DHO) said they did not know about the outbreak in the village because they were not informed.
