Some 50 NSP-A cadres led by the party vice-chairman Khushilal Mandal demonstrated demanding to make public the whereabouts of party chair Anandidevi Singh, who has been out of contact for many days.
The irate cadres have accused NSP-A senior leader and Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Shyam Sundar Gupta of being involved in Singh’s abduction.

The NSP-A has demanded that Minister Gupta be dismissed from the Ministerial post.

According to NSP-A spokesperson Sarita Giri, they will continue demonstrating until their demand for Gupta’s termination is met.

Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has urged the agitated cadres to wait until the evening for information concerning NSP-A chair Singh, Giri informed.

The NSP-A also criticised the government for not taking even an initial step for the investigation process.

Earlier PM Koirala had expressed his commitment to find out Singh’s whereabouts within some days. As no retribution was made, they prompted for the upraise.
