26 dead bodies of Seti flash flood victims recovered; 40 still missing
As four more bodies were recovered from the debris of Seti river flood-ravaged villages of Kaski district on Tuesday, the number of dead bodies recovered went up to 26. Security personnels deployed in search mission say at least 40 people are still missing.
Authorities have ascertained the identities of only 18 bodies so far and handed over to their families.
The unidentified bodies which are badly mutiliated have been kept at the morgue of the Western Regional Hospital, Pokhara.
Police said some 40 people, including three Ukraninans, are still missing. A joint team comprising Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Personnel are wading through the debris to find the bodies.
