KAKADBHITTA: General public have been facing difficulties in travelling after the local administration sealed Nepal-India border for the parliamentary and provincial elections slated for December 7. The government has sealed the border for 72 hours from Tuesday.
“Those carrying Nepali citizenship and identity cards are only allowed to enter Nepal,” said DSP Tanka Bhattarai of the Area Police Office, Kakadbhitta, adding, “The border is open for those traveling to India.”
Locals of Bhadrapur, Nepal’s eastern border with Bihar state, India, are having a difficult time with the decision to seal the border.
The administration is keeping a close eye on the people travelling to Nepal from India.
