17 members of underground outfit arrested from Rukum
Police have arrested 17 persons including a leader of an illegal underground outfit in Rukum district of mid western Nepal.
Chairman of Mongol National Organisation Party Binod Pun and other 16 members of the group were arrested from a hotel located at the district headquarters Musikot while they were holding a meeting to plan their future activities, reports quoting the police said.
The group has been carrying out its activities demanding special rights to the Mongol community.
Three months ago, three persons including central chairman of the group Upendra Gharti who were arrested by the police were released by the court on bail.
