Nepal Airlines Plane escapes crash in Lukla Airport, all 19 onboard safe
All 19 onboard the Nepal Airline’s Twin Otter 9N-OBO aircraft that was chartered by the Tara Air must thank to god as the aircraft escapes deadly accident at Lukla Airport Sunday.
There were 16 passengers, most of them foreigners, and three crew members inside the plane when it escaped a disastrous accident after skidding off the runway while taking off from the Tenzing-HillaryAirport at Lukla in Solukhumbu district on Sunday, THT reported.
It has been learnt that the aircraft suffered hydraulic system problems this morning.
The aircraft was preparing to fly black to Kathmandu from airport at an elevation of 2800 metre on the lap of Mt. Everest.
A Nepal Army aircraft that was preparing to land at theSimaraAirportin Bara had also skidded off from the runway following a technical snag that hit its hydraulic brakes yesterday.
