Hotelier rapes tourist
Metropolitan Police Sector Lainchaur on Tuesday arrested Kamal Kushwah, promoter of Chhetrapati-based Hotel Puna Hill, for raping an American tourist.
He was arrested following a complaint by the tourist on Monday night, said Inspector Shiv Bahadur Singh. She was staying at his hotel when the incident occurred.
Kushwah has confessed to the crime. The US Embassy had earlier sought police help to bring the guilty to book. The victim has been referred to Prasuti Hospital,Thapathali,for medical examination following the incident
