Mister Nepals show muscle to police, clash
Clash between police and participants ensued after participants came up with protest citing unfair in Mister Nepal-2011 Competition.
The clash erupted after the participants and audience shouted slogans inside the hall citing ‘Ayushman Ghimire was conferred the tile of Mr. Handsome by taking bribe’ in the competition organised by expose.com and In Stylish Pvt. Ltd. at Nepal Academy hall Kathmandu.
The dispute surfaced when first runner-up of the competition Kuber Tamang and second runner-up journalist Ashish Luitel denied to receive trophy saying ‘Ghimire of Kathmandu University (KU) got the title of Mister Nepal by offering bribe’.
Title winner Ghimire gave bribe Rs. 500,000 to the organiser and he was merely present for two weeks in course of the practice, they added. -RSS
