Bhattarai faction also to join govt
Baburam Bhattarai faction in the Unified CPN (Maoist), which had written note-of-dissent in the party decision to support UML chairman Jhala Nath Khanal in the prime ministerial election, will also join Khanal’s cabinet, it is learnt.
A Maoist standing committee member close to Bhattarai informed Nepalnews, leaders of his camp would also participate in the government despite having grudges over the party decision to support Khanal.
It’s a democratic process to write note-of-dissent and a normal process in the party, said Top Bahadur Rayamajhi, it does not imply that we will not participate in the cabinet.
Earlier, UCPN (Maoist) vice chairman Baburam Bhattarai and his supporters in the party had been saying they will not join the Khanal-led government at any cost.
